SYNOPSIS

It begins with a drawer opened by accident. Rotem, a young filmmaker discovers the hidden archive of her late grandmother, Yehudit: yellowed letters, piles of photographs, and 8mm reels she filmed over the years, capturing a seemingly happy family in 1960s Tel Aviv.

 

While Rotem is captivated by this treasure, her mother, Varda, resists. She never forgave Yehudit for failing to love her. Rotem screens the footage for her mother, pulling them into an unexpectedly funny, painfully honest conversation- insisting on a reconciliation between the two. Memory and documentation collide head-on, conjuring the dead and exposing secrets buried deep.
